You may have seen I’m holding an outreach workshop development session next week, sign up here: https://ewbwaterworkshop.eventbrite.co.uk/
Some further details of what to bring are below:
Hopefully you’ve seen the location has been updated to:
Room 217, Chadwick Building, second floor,
WC1E 6BT London
We’ll get started at 19.30.
Prior to the workshop I’d like you to think about core engineering messages with regard to ‘water’ (supply/access/infrastructure/quality/quantity) you think 16/17 years olds should be introduced to.
Please have 3 core messages in mind and prior to the workshop have a quick think about practical activities (school yard or classroom suitable) you might use to convey them.
Take a look at this infographic:http://prafulla.net/interesting-contents/environment-interesting-contents/3x-fewer-people-using-8x-more-water-infographic/
Could we somehow convey how much water we use compared with those in other countries?
Could we represent how many people lack access to water or how heavy is to carry?
Could we think about water around the world and how its shared? Or what goes into it?
Remember its older students we’re trying to engage here – so we can go quite advanced.
I look forward to seeing you next week.
